New series alert! Every once in a while, something happens at Tony’s Pizza that’s too good not to share. Here’s the first one.
A tourist walked into Tony’s Pizza for the very first time, looking like he hadn’t eaten in a week.
“Welcome, welcome!” Tony said, already reaching for the dough. “One large pizza, coming right up. Would you like that cut into 6 slices, or 8?”
The tourist thought about it very seriously for a moment.
“Eight, please,” he said. “I’m really, really hungry.”
Nico, who happened to be folding pizza boxes nearby, almost dropped the whole stack.
Tazz, standing next to him, didn’t even blink. “A logical choice,” she said. “Eight is, after all, greater than six.”
Nico just stared at her. “Tazz… it’s the … uh, same pizza.”
“Precisely,” Tazz replied. “Which is exactly why I said nothing.”
The tourist got his eight slices, ate every single one, and left very happy β convinced, to this day, that he’d gotten the better deal.
Got something funny you overheard on the island? Send it in β we might feature it in the next “Overheard at Tony’s Pizza.”
